Rudolf’s raft
Enjoy a unique experience visiting one of the most beautiful Slovenian cities. Marvel at the historic location of the old town on a peninsula jutting out into the Krka river.
Embarkation on Rudolph’s raft and navigate under the four bridges over the Krka river. We’ll pass by the manor Kamen and Novi dvor/Neuhof (today part of hospital), the dome of St. Nicholas, which dominates the old medieval town, Breg – the most picturesque motive of Novo mesto, Franciscan monastery and church of St. Leonard.
Our animators on board (Julia Primic, laundress) and an accordeonist will present themselves to you the Krka river, history of Novo mesto and famous natives, who used to live or work in Novo mesto. You’ll be served with famous local vine – cviček and if you want (for extra fee) also with a warm light meal. Our raft men will perform the baptism of new rafter (one of the guests), who will get a certificate. At the end each guest also gets a small souvenir.
